Learner Management

Being in a position where one of your responsibilities is the education and skills development in your organisation can be a daunting task. Very often this responsibility falls on HR or Learning and develop-ment. Trying to organise workplace skills plans, having to wait for people to submit lists, having to know what training is available where, and who should attend. Then trying to facilitate this learning and keeping a record of training attended for various reasons like BEE ratings, Skill Levy claims and personal development —can become very tedious and very frustrating. This is where Foster-Melliar can assist. While in the process of BBEEE rating reviewed in 2009 and 2010, Foster-Melliar studied the process of skills development very closely. Lessons learned were documented and added to our existing knowledge of dealing with HR requirements and SETA requirements. The result is a service offering that addresses the people factor and government requirements directly while taking admin away from you and freeing up valuable time. Learner management comprises of the following focus areas:
  • Job descriptions mapped to learner outcomes and career plans
  • Assistance with personal development planning for your staff
  • Assistance with Workplace skills plan mapping
  • Most learning paths/courses available from a single provider
  • Courses not currently offered will be sourced and provided under a single umbrella
